FAQs

1. What is Voices for Woodbury?

Voices for Woodbury is a community initiative that invites residents to share their thoughts, ideas, and priorities for the future of Woodbury’s environment and quality of life. The project is part of Partners for Climate Action’s Funding Futures: Together We Decide program, which supports towns across the Hudson Valley in setting local environmental goals and identifying sustainable funding sources.

2. Who can participate?

Everyone who lives, works, or spends time in Woodbury is encouraged to participate! Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or recently joined the community, your perspective matters. We welcome ideas from all ages, backgrounds, and viewpoints — because every voice contributes to shaping a stronger, more connected Woodbury.

3. How can I share my ideas or feedback?

You can share your thoughts in several ways:

  • Submit a comment or idea through our online form (linked on the homepage).

  • Attend one of our upcoming community conversations or events.

  • Subscribe to our updates to stay informed about future opportunities to participate.

Our goal is to make it easy and welcoming for everyone to have a say in what matters most to them.

4. What happens after I share my input?

All submissions and feedback are reviewed by the Voices for Woodbury team and community partners. We’ll identify common themes and priorities, which will guide future projects or initiatives aimed at protecting and improving Woodbury’s natural environment. As part of the Funding Futures program, we’ll also explore funding opportunities to help bring these ideas to life.

5. Who is behind Voices for Woodbury?

The project is led by LisaMarie Hintze, a longtime Woodbury resident and Chairperson of the Woodbury Climate Smart Task Force. Under her leadership, Woodbury has earned recognition as a NYSERDA 2-Star Certified Clean Energy Community and a Bronze Certified Climate Smart Community. Voices for Woodbury builds on that success — helping residents come together to shape the future of our town through collaboration and shared vision.
